Our Team
With around 15 years of electrical experience, Marco really is a Master Electrician. He’s originally from up north, doing his apprenticeship and working for Philip Beston Electrical in Pukekohe.
Over those six years, Marco helped grow the business from a two man operation into a successful company with a number of employees.
“I’ve always loved jobs with a bit of variety. One of the best parts of my apprenticeship and first job was the wide range of sites I worked on. I got a taste of rural, domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical work.”
Marco now calls Christchurch home, and lives here with his wife Anita and two young sons. For Marco, Mister Sparky is an opportunity to serve the people in his community with the highest possible quality electrical work, and energy efficient solutions.
When Anita first met Marco, she was working at his local bank and didn’t think she’d be working in the electrical industry.
After getting married to Marco, she became more involved in the day-to-day running, and administration of Mister Sparky. She now spends most of her time chasing after and raising two “new apprentices” who can’t wait to join their Dad on-site.
Anita is still active in the Mister Sparky team working part time in the office in an administrative role.
Since becoming a fully qualified electrician in 2008, Gareth has spent most of his time working for Mister Sparky. He completed his apprenticeship locally, doing a lot of residential work after and upgrading electrical meters around Christchurch.
“I like the variety of work we do at Mister Sparky, and that no two days are the same. I really like putting a good finish on a job to fulfil the customer’s needs. We’re not just looking for a quick solution, but to get them the best result.”
Gareth enjoys getting the best results for each customer, and believes that is one reason people keep coming back to Mister Sparky. Gareth is also involved in youth work around his local church, and getting out into nature for some hunting and fishing when the weather allows.
